Our fallen memories are tenacious with grievances and careless with goodnesses. We forget our benefits, the sweet sufficiencies with which our Lord has supplied us. Here we consider why we need to remember (because of the sins, failings, and pressures that drive God's benefits from our minds), what I need to remember (the origin, nature, and character of God's bounty toward me), and how I need to remember (the effort I make and the spirit in which I engage in order to keep these things in my mind).
