The LORD cautions us against the deadly allure of idolatry, symbolized by the goddess 'the queen of heaven,' and God rescues us through Christ The King. 1. Idolatry requires believing two lies: a) the queen brings only harmless goodies, b) The King brings only burdens and trouble. (v.15-18) 2. Many people are disarmed by mass public approval of idolatry, but it is still a deadly trap. (v.19, 25) 3.
