What do you do while waiting? So much of life is spent waiting on someone or something. What do you do while waiting? We today are waiting for the return of our Lord. While waiting, we are to be watching for signs of His soon coming. While waiting, we are to be preparing ourselves for His arrival. And while we wait, we are to be working. In two parables Jesus told, He emphasizes out need to work till He comes. In the parable of the faithful servant versus evil servant, Jesus point is that each of us has been given a task to perform by God, and when Jesus returns He will hold us accountable. And in the parable of the Talents, God has not only given us a task to do, but has also given us the resources to do it. And we will be held accountable for what we do with that which God gives to us. Until He comes, we need to invest whatever God has entrusted to us to do whatever God has called us to do, making the most of the opportunities afforded to us. For when Jesus returns, our hope is that He will be able to say, 'Well done, good and faithful servant!"
