God made all things for his own pleasure. We are made in his image and likeness, and so we should find pleasure in the things He has created. Music is one of those things that has God's signature all over it. But like all things that bring us pleasure through our physical senses there is a moral element involved. Music can be good or evil, just like everything else. It's highest purpose, and the highest pleasure it gives, is in the worship of God. Music is a language all by itself, even without the lyrics. The music itself has a moral quality. We must be able to discern in this matter.
