Throughout the history of God's dealings with men, we observe a series of promises given to men, women, to a nation that would ultimately be fulfilled through the Messiah. Sometimes those promises were clear decrees given or handed out to men, and sometimes those men who received those messages of hope, labored in a manner that professed and prefigured the Messiah Himself. All of redemptive history was structured to exalt the Triune Lord, especially through the faithful service of men, who were exemplary recipients of God's amazing grace, and were called not only for a time and place purpose, but in order to better inform the world what kind of Messiah was coming. Moses was such a man - a great man, a faithful servant, a righteous leader, but just a man who was delivered, called and used by God to bring salvation to a nation that they might worship at God's Holy mountain. This prefiguring the Messiah's own mission of deliverance and salvation, but to an even greater Mountain and an even more glorious House.
