KEACH'S BAPTIST CATECHISM, Q42 & 43: DEATH AND RESURRECTION FOR THE WICKED
SUMMARY: In questions 40 and 41 we saw that the believer's soul, upon death, enters immediately into glory; and then in the resurrection the body is raised in glory and reunited with the soul for eternal holiness, and rest, and peace. In the same way, at death the wicked will enter immediately into the torments of hell, and in the resurrection the body will be raised in dishonor, reunited with its soul for eternal judgment and torment— in Hell.
Question 42. But what shall be done to the wicked at their death? Answer. The souls of the wicked shall, at their death, be cast into the torments of hell, and their bodies lie in their graves, till the resurrection and judgment of the great day. Question 43. What shall be done to the wicked, at the day of judgment? Answer. At the day of judgment the bodies of the wicked, being raised out of their graves, shall be sentenced, together with their souls, to unspeakable torments with the devil and his angels for ever.
