The very character of God by which He made the promises to the nation of Israel assures Israel of receiving the gifts promised them since His sovereign choice of them cannot be changed.
If Gentiles have been shown God’s mercy even though disobedient, it is all the more reasonable that the people who were promised God's mercy receive it even while disobedient.
In every area of life disobedience permeates and characterizes all unbelievers. All nations, Jew and Gentile, have been found to be sinners living in disobedience to God. Therefore God’s salvation is an act of His mercy, mercy by definition being undeserved.

In conceiving and carrying out His plan He had no counselors and received nothing that He is in debt to repay. He, and He, alone has provided all that is necessary for salvation and eternal life with Him.
