Acts 19:11-20 – The True Power of Jesus Christ – Sermon Outline Intro: Last week we saw that true disciples of Jesus are taught by His Word and filled with His Spirit so that they will serve and glorify Him. True disciples have seen God's glory in the Gospel, seen their sin, & repent. Need: Now we see the true power of Jesus Christ, as God glorifies Himself/His Son. He works mighty miracles through His Apostle Paul to humiliate the Jewish exorcists who claimed to work by Jesus's power. Theme: God works mighty miracles to glorify Jesus Christ and destroy His enemies.
1. God works powerful miracles through Paul's clothing. (11-12) 2. Unbelieving Jewish exorcists wickedly use Jesus' name and are punished. (13-16) 3. Jesus' name and word is magnified as Jews and Greeks repent and believe in Christ. (17-20)
