Our study of the gospel of John ended last week at chapter 4, verse 20. We find ourselves in the midst of a conversation between Jesus and the Samaritan woman who came to draw water at Jacob's well near the city of Sychar in Samaria. We learned last week that the woman had just changed the subject after Jesus confronted her with her immoral life; something many people are apt to do when confronted with their sins. Becoming uncomfortable, the woman begins talking about worshiping God. (Vs. 20)
