Some people are driven to destroy others. The only person they care about is themselves, regardless of what happens to other people. In fact, this is what stains the entire human race. In Romans 8:1-17, Paul draws a sharp contrast between people who have their minds set on their own personal desires and agenda, and people whose minds God has transformed so that they desire what God desires. This change is not achievable through personal effort, rather it comes about when God, by grace comes and cuts the corpse of sin and death from your back and gives it to Jesus to bear, to His death. He then takes up residence in that once-lost sinner and motivates that sinner to the new level of a transformed saint. These people, He also makes heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ. No greater privilege can be imagined. May God grant you the grace, through this message, if you don't understand these things, to receive this glorious gift. May God grant you the encouragement, if you understand these things, to continue with dependent resolve, to purify your life by the power of His Spirit.
