A voice cries: "In the wilderness prepare the way of the LORD..." (Isaiah 40:3a). This prophecy, having been written by Isaiah many centuries earlier, found its fulfillment in the ministry of John the prophet. Or as he's more commonly known, John the Baptist. This week we will take a closer look at the ministry of the Baptizer, and how he was used in God the Father's preparing of the way for Jesus' (God the Son) earthly ministry. Specifically, we will be examining the account of John's ministry of repentance and water baptism as it's told in chapter 3 of Luke's gospel.
