"Then came the word of the Lord unto Jeremiah, saying, Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?" (Jeremiah 32:26-27).
God uses this rhetorical question to bring home the truth. We know that nothing is too hard for the Lord, the sovereign creator of heaven and earth. That obviously is a basic truth, but we still need to be reminded of it. We first look at some examples of men of faith who faltered in a time of trouble. We then review a number of events recorded in scripture where the Lord demonstrated the fact that nothing is too hard for Him. We must not allow the familiarity of these events to keep us from standing in awe of the greatness of our God and therefore to see that whatever our difficult circumstances may be, there is hope when we trust in Him.
