Submitting to the governing authorities is hard, especially because we are rebels by nature, but Peter tells us that ultimately it is Christ who has given us ruling authorities, and that as we submit, we are in fact submitting to Him. In fact, in Christ's example we see that it is in SUBMISSION and not REBELLION that we see true Christian strength.
Good Christians should also be Good Citizens who are willing to submit to every command as long as that submission would not cause us to sin.
