English with French Translation. The third of a four part series on the Marriage Covenant. Lecture one deals with the Covenant itself, as does the first half of lecture two. From the second half of lecture two through lecture four the specific vows of the Marriage Covenant are addressed. In the modern marriage the party takes prescience over the covenant. Family traditions, cultural traditions, the wishes of the mother and the bride, the festival atmosphere and yes even the church take priority over the covenant being made with God. Most couples spend far more time in negotiations with family members than reflection upon the Word of God and the holy covenant of marriage. Most families are far more concerned that their traditions and culture are respected than that God is glorified in both the service and the marriage which follows. In this series Rev. Mahon turns couples back to their covenants. This is done without reference to pagan culture but rather total submission to the holy, eternal, inerrant, written Word of God.
