In this study, The Doctrine of the Rapture, we are looking at the Biblical definition and evidence of Christ appearing to Earth before the Great Tribulation to collect His Church to Him in Heaven. Using nothing but the Bible's truths, today we learn about who exactly is the Church.
The Bible talks about Christ returning to Earth to rule over His people, Israel, and the entirety of the world. Christ will set up a kingdom on Earth. The Bible also talks about Christ coming for His Church. Are these talking about the same event? Israel was the Bride of God; the Church is the Bride of Christ. Isn't the Church simply the New Testament version of Israel?
Today, we will look at the Biblical difference of being born into physical people group (Israel) and a spiritual one (salvation). What Biblical proof is there that the physical birth and the spiritual one isn't the same? When Christ "catches up His Bride," who is that Bride—the Church, Israel, or both?
