Jesus uses the parables to get into us, to get behind us. Is change possible? Parables confront us about ourselves. How does anyone know anything for sure? We think what we know is good for us. The men in these parables find something of very great value. Only things we love will change us. We must be careful what we love. In other words we are what we love. To be a better Christian we must love Christ more, we must fall more and more in love by way of His Word, prayer and fellowship with other believers. This is the way we value the Kingdom of God
