Ordinarily, he works to answer our prayers for healing through the means of medical care. This too is one of God's gracious gifts. Jesus performed so many miracles during his earthly ministry to confirm his identity as the Christ. For the Great Physician is a physician of souls. God often uses our physical difficulties in our lives to do his gracious work in our souls. And this is a blessing, for our souls are eternal and our present bodies are temporary, to be exchanged one day for a glorious resurrected body!
