This week we will hear of 'Work - After the Fall'. From Genesis 3 we will see how the consequences of sin affect our lives, relationships and work. Sin, shame, distrust and competition meddle mightily with every aspect of our lives. Ultimately it all leads to death. But God will not let the fruit of his labours go to waste. Even in the midst of handing down the punishment for sin, in his love and grace he makes a promise and provision for humanity that we might live. Yes, there is now both blessing and curse. Our work is now done with more blood, sweat and tears than at first. But, together with Creation itself, we can now labour and groan in hope. And even now, in Christ Jesus, we can know peace with God and be reconciled to one another as the work of the Cross has 'reversed the curse' and restored communion once lost. In him we can work in love once more.
