Deuteronomy 28 teaches the principle that nations which honor God's law are blessed, and nations which live in rebellion to His law are cursed. As Proverbs 14:34 declares, "Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people." Deuteronomy 28 also teaches the principle that a rebellious people who have destroyed their nation, eventually return to the Lord and once again see the importance of God's law for the building of their nation. This sermon examines just a little of that history. It also attempts to answer the question - is the law of God given to the Jews of old entirely only for them or is some of it applicable to all nations of all times?
