We have been reconciled by His blood. This state of peace is permanent; it cannot be lost. It allows to exult in hope, even exulting in our tribulations. The love of God is the sending of His only begotten Son to reconcile us, and He was sent to die for the ungodly and helpless. The Holy Spirit is shed abroad in our hearts that allows us to comprehend this marvelous love of God. It is all of grace, nothing of value in us that prompted God to save us.
