A Renewing Grace John 18:25-27 Every child of God receives the Holy Spirit at the moment of salvation, and His full power and influence immediately become available to the believer. Though converted, Christians are not necessarily free from old patterns of worldly thoughts and actions. Sinful desires still remain. If Christians are not careful, we can easily fall back into old habits, allowing those habits to take over and govern our actions and reactions. Fleshly patterns of decision ¬making always lead to consequences. When we sin, we need the restoring grace of God to bring us back into fellowship with Him. By properly responding to that grace, we will be renewed for His service. We want to emphasize upon the Christian the importance of God's grace in rebuilding a strong relationship with Him and in restoring us to a position from which we can again effectively serve Him.
