God is sovereign in the salvation of sinners. He chooses some, and passes over others. He opens the eyes of some, and allows others to remain in the darkness. He sets His saving love upon some, while His righteous wrath remains over others, and no one can charge Him with being unjust or unfair in these matters. Will a guilty, sinful rebel charge the righteous God with injustice? We all deserve God’s wrath. No one deserves to be among those whom God elects, but those whom He rejects. No one can come to know the Father unless the Son chooses to reveal the Father to them. On the other hand, no one - because of their love of sin - is able to come to the Son unless the Father draws them to Him. Yet, sinners are never condemned on the basis of God’s sovereignty, but by their own unwillingness to repent and come to the light that they might be saved. God is sovereign in planning our salvation, accomplishing our salvation, and in applying our salvation to us.
