Christ is our sole object of faith. We don't rest in our works, our church membership, or in our knowledge or anything else. We obey our Lord because we love Him and we love Him because He first loved us, but we don't put our trust in what we do. Our faith is in The Christ who is The Word which was given to us to learn of who it is we trust.
