To be justified before God is to be counted righteous in God's sight. It is to have your sins forgiven and not counted against you.
Who gets in on this blessing before God? Exactly how does a person become justified before God? Paul has answered this question many times already in these early chapters of Romans. Today we will see how he answers it again by returning to the example of Abraham to make the point that the only way that anyone can be made right with God is by trusting Jesus Christ.
After quoting David's declaration of the blessing of justification, Paul raises the question of who this blessing is for. He answers the question in our text, Romans 4:9-12.
