In the ninth chapter of Hosea, we are exhorted to see that in a state of high-handed sin, no nation, church, or individual has a cause to rejoice over temporal blessings. The Lord's rebuke - is "Rejoice not!" for there is no cause to rejoice when sin is indulged in. Instead, such joys are short-lived for they will come with judgment. We are exhorted to flee from false prophets and false saviors and turn to the true messengers of the Lord and the arms of Jesus Christ for his offer of grace and mercy and forgiveness. Preached Sabbath PM on 01/31/21 from Hosea 9.
For the Church's harlotry... 1. The Lord rebukes her joy. 2. The Lord revokes her blessings. 3. The Lord reveals her sorrows.
