We have been looking at this section in Colossians where Paul defines and defends his ministry. It is an interesting section for many reasons, but the first is that we are in a society that is trying to get Christians to be quiet. They say it is okay to believe in God as long as you don't tell other people about it. We see this being played out in the news this week as the Pence family is being criticized for working at a school which teaches homosexuality is a sin. This is why Paul's words here are so important. It reminds us of our ministry. It isn't an option. We were called by God as well. We have also been given a ministry to our family, friends, and coworkers. This was given to us from God. Let's continue on and see how Paul views this Stewardship.
