After the death of Jesus; Joseph of Arimathea gathers up his courage and asks Pilate for the body. Both Joseph and Nicodemus, who were probably secret disciples of Jesus, now go public with their faith. As members of the Sanhedrin they will undoubtedly be ostracized. Yet, by God's grace, they see Jesus as more valuable than their worldly blessings. They bury the Lord in a new tomb so there will be no mistake about who will be resurrected. And they care for the body in the custom of the Jews.
