Many young Calvinists are finding intellectual stimulation in the riches of Reformed theology, but cannot seem to stomach its so-called "traditional" music. Instead of hymns sung with organs and pianos, a new generation of young worshipers is craving the high octane worship songs that are prevalent at the Passion conferences, complete with drums, guitars, and hip tunes. The problem with all of this is that worship music is not governed by subjective tastes of worshipers grooving to new music fads, worship music is based upon God's commands. In this message, both Old and New Testament passages are surveyed in order to establish the argument that there is not a shred of Biblical warrant for using instruments to accompany the singing of the Psalms in New Covenant worship.
