The current thinking in the world is that it is always wrong to judge another person. While Scripture call on us not to judge in certain ways, it also in many places calls on us to judge in many other ways and situations. How can we, as fathers, raise our children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord, if we do not judge their behavior as to their obedience to us and to God's Word. How can the Church, the body of Christ, be what it should be, if we do not judge the sin that is found among those who are part of the body of Christ in the local church? Judgment is never to be in an attitude of superiority but always done in love and the recognition that we too are sinful people who have been saved only by God's magnificent grace through our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ.
