The credentials a speaker brings to the podium are very important for when someone with the proper credentials speaks, we tend to listen and heed their counsel or advise. Jesus Christ is God's final word to man. But what credentials does He have which gives Him the right to speak to us and we had better listen? In relation to God the Father, Jesus Christ is "the brightness of His glory", the visible manifestation of God in the flesh. He is also the "expressed image of His person", the exact representation of God's essence. In relation to creation, Jesus Christ is the divine agent who made that everything . He was with the Father when the world was created. He made it all. Today, Jesus Christ "upholds all things by the word of His power", that is, He sustains this world and holds it together. And one day in the future, He will possess the nations of this world as His inheritance. As Paul writes in Romans 11:36, "For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to Whom be glory forever. Amen!" This is why Jesus is superior and we had better listen to what He has to say!
