You take your mind off situations & people and place them on God. 1. Rule: athletic term-to preside over the games. The peace of God is the umpire of our hearts. 2. When we obey we have hi peace, we step out of his will -lose peace. 3. If we have the peace of God in our hears-we will be a peace with others.
Colossians 3:16 1. It was not the false word or the false teachers that brought salvation to the Colossians. It was the "Word" of truth, the gospel. 2. The Word gives life and substance. 3. "Dwell"-to feel at home
Colossians 3:17 1. The name of christ reflected in all we do; if not we probably shouln't be doing it. 2. 4 spiritual motivations for godly living We forgive because Christ first forgave us. The Peace of Christ should rule in our hearts & life. The Word of Christ should rule in us richly. The Name of Christ should be our identification & authority.
