Jesus, Peter, and others spoke to the crowds, but they focused on the few who were true disciples of Jesus Christ. Those who wanted to grow and be used in the Kingdom of God. If you look, you will see that the masses and the crowds were not the church. The church, the called out ones, were, and are, those who are truly surrendered to Christ. In the next few months we will be looking into a lot of scripture describing the Church as Jesus sees it, and I know it will challenge us in many ways. All believers should agree however, that our goal should be to live as the church Jesus says we should be. It's easy to see the issues and the problems, and it's pretty easy to see the solution and where we should be. The challenge is getting from the former to the latter.
