We are Forgiven for His name Sake
As we continue to work through the book of First John, we see that Christianity does not live in the gray. John makes it clear that those who love the Lord will obey His commandments. For the elect longs to be obedient unto His Word and grieves when they do disobey. This is a reflection of a high view of God. Those who have a high view of God longs to overcome sin. This gives the believer continual assurance of salvation. We are appointed by God to be overcomers and not be overcome by sin. May we walk this earth with the confidence and power in Christ as we overcome sin.
