So much emphasis gets put on the knowing of what's right and wrong, that the actual doing of what's right, and actively avoiding what's wrong, is becoming more and more neglected. And simultaneously, possessing the knowledge of what is right and wrong, is slowly transitioning over into being seen as the same as being right. And the necessity of actually putting into practice this knowledge that we possess, has slowly taken a back seat in priority. James 1:22 says, "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves." Just knowing what's right, doesn't make you right. |
