This sermon has been considerably expanded from a version of this sermon posted on Sermon Audio 2 years ago. This first segment examines four periods of church history: The Apostolic Era - the Giving of the Bible; The 2nd and 3rd Centuries - the Corruption of the Bible; The Dark Ages - the Persecution of the Bible; and, The Reformation - the Printing of the Bible. This series is available in DVD or VHS format and features numerous graphics which enhance the presentation. www.wayoflife.org; 1-866-295-4143

Great Sermon! A great sermon which sheds much needed light on a topic that can leave many souls in confusion that at times lead to a believer's separation from the true doctrines of Jesus Christ. This information is vital to your understanding of the Bible's manuscripts and how God divinely preserves His Word through the ages and each generation. It helps reveal to the Christian that his or her spiritual battle is also against the worldly and demonic winds of doctrine that have cut through unto the spiritual bodies of certain denominational churches by subtle means of changing God's Word over time much like the serpent beguiled Adam's wife during the time of sin's first entrance into the world of man.

Answering WT from Georgia It is true that the first KJV Bible contained the apocrypha but it was contained in between the Two Testaments for historical information only. The authors of the KJV never claimed it was the inspired Word. Again, it was only placed there for it's historical value, especially books like Maccabees. Great history, but not inspired.

King James Version - Sermon I encourage you to visit this site and review some of the statements made in your sermon. The Geneva Bible holds the honor of being the first Bible taken to America, and the Bible of the Puritans and Pilgrims. It is truly the “Bible of the Protestant Reformation.”. Also the Geneva Bible and the earliest King James Bible included the 14 books of "The Apocrypha" which I assume you do not endorse.
