The 8th sermon in the series, "The Gospel of God's Righteousness," covering the Book of Romans. In Romans 5:14, Paul describes Adam as a "type" of the "one who was to come" (ESV). The One, who was to come, is Jesus. Before becoming born again upon trusting in Christ, Adam is our representative. The representative of all of sinful mankind, as he and Eve chose sin over God. With the second birth, a spiritual regeneration by the power of the Holy Spirit through faith, Christ becomes our representative. Through Christ the Son, we are now seen as sons and daughters of God. With Adam, there is death, but with Christ, there is life. Pastor Chris discusses three points:
1. Death in Adam: The Ruin of Mankind 2. Life in Christ: The Rescue of Mankind 3. The Difference One Man Made
