We were back in our John series, with the focus being on John 19:1-15. We are beginning the hard road to the Cross and this Sunday's message was meant to get us all thinking about what Jesus Christ went through for us. Jesus was made sin for you and for me. His suffering is presented to us in vivid details as we move forward in this Gospel. While we need to be careful not to spend too much time on the details, we must at least look at them in order to fully appreciate what our Savior suffered on our behalf. In verse 5, when Pilate says, "Behold the man", if would be good for us to stop and "Behold the Man" ourselves, our Savior, who endured so much pain and agony that we might be free from the law of sin and death. He was made sin so that we could be made righteous. May I encourage you this week to behold the man, to meditate on what He did for you on the hill of Calvary. I pray it will lead you to worship Him with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Pastor Steve
