Any reasonable analysis of the worldwide Global Warming/Climate Change movement would have to conclude that it is going through a bit of a cool-down period. Earlier this year the movement was certainly forecasting nothing but sunny days ahead. However, recent developments have put a bit of a damper on this seemingly unstoppable environmentalist energy.
Although there were certainly other signs of skepticism surrounding the reporting of climate data, the revelation of the content of hacked emails gave critics of the movement the catalyst they needed to slow the steady march toward signing a legally binding UN brokered global agreement designed to curb carbon emissions by imposing strict standards throughout the world. As part of the agreement, affluent nations, like the US would be expected to help developing nation with the financial burdens associated with implementing climate-friendly plans.
