Loneliness is no respecter of persons. If handled wrongly, it is deadly.
In order to deal with loneliness rightly we must . . .
1) define it rightly since loneliness is an emotion, it is not caused by a lack of companionship but by the unfulfilled desire for companionship.
2) see it as a spiritual issue all emotions have a spiritual foundation to them, the desires of the heart. 2 reasons we feel loneliness a) providence b) sin
3) follow Jesus' example:
how did Jesus handle loneliness? 1) He filled his mind with truth (John 16:32) 2) He prayed. 3) He sought the fellowship of the body.
Summary: Jesus went through the loneliness of the Garden and the Cross so that we might not be alone, neither now, nor eternity.
