66. Love Not The World Part 1 - 10
In these three verses, the Apostle John gives us some most practical information and instruction that is invaluable to every believer in Jesus Christ. In my own personal experience as a believer, the majority of the time, I have heard these three verses preached or taught: as rejected, or warped, explained away, and even outright ignored. And only a few times have I heard these verses defended and explained on biblical grounds. However, it doesn't matter what my opinion is or my experiences; what does matter is what the Apostle John meant when he wrote these verses and what the Holy Spirit meant when He inspired these them. Therefore, we have another command from Scripture in this epistle that we should take note of: "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world..." and ... "if any man loves the world the love of the Father is not in him."
