Great Sermon! Dr. Cairns is correct in what he says here, however, he fails to apply this to the false teaching that Christ was crucified on Friday. You can not have a three days and three nights in the grave with a Friday crucifixion and a Sunday morning resurrection.
I believe Christ was crucified on Wednesday, put in the grave that evening and then was resurrected after 6pm on Saturday. That will fulfill the prophecy given by Christ. Remember, when the women came to the tomb on Sunday morning, they found it empty. My thoughts.
