This leads us to mourn for sin with a godly sorrow that produces repentance and brings us to the comfort promised in the gospel, our only lasting and true hope. "Our griefs are blessed because they become the points of contact with the divine Comforter." – CHS. Further, in mourning, we find comfort in our deliverance from the penalty for sin, the power of sin, and eventually the presence of sin in our glorification!
