Not too accurate First of all, I appreciate the zeal & passion of Pastor Jack, he is concerned about his congregation & wants them to study the scriptures, I love to hear a Christian pastor have that drive & that zeal. And as a Creationist as well, I'm glad to hear that Pastor Jack affirms the teachings of Genesis,
I was glad to see he had knowledge in the area, he mentioned the trees over in Spirit Lake, dino tissue, the flood, etc. & I rejoice to see that, but I do have some disagreements with him.
1. Calvinist & the Bible
Throughout the sermon he says, "[Calvinist have] "Zeal without knowledge they’ve believed the words of men rather than the word of God”
“They’re not following scripture”
“They are proof texting like the cults”
This is not true, I was brought to Calvinism by reading the scriptures, I try to follow scripture in every area of my life, & let's be honest, all of us proof text at times, when witnessing to the cults we prooftext, but if we have time, we try to walk through the chapter(s)
2. General accusations.
“Calvinists have perverted the gospel” "Rely on the scholars" This is kinda the KJVonly mindset, and it's not good.
3. Concerning all.
All does not always mean all, Look at Mark 1:5, becuase the Pharisees certainly were not baptized by John. |
