I’m a student of Dr Harry Sturz. I had the honor of studying under him for one of my two years of Greek and one semester of textual criticism. A year or two after I graduated, our stinks was published by Baker. He argues that the Majority Text should not be cast aside as Westport & Hort argue. As a result I use the New King James. I imagine the oldest readings may not always preserve the most complete readings. Though I know his view was ridiculed by Talbot textual critics.
I wonder if Jesus wrote the names & maybe even the sins committed by the accusers & their family members in the dirt where it was not a permanent record but a reminder of sins they overlook?
