As Christians, there is a purpose that God means for us to fulfill. Even Jesus had a purpose that he went about doing while He walked this earth. We need godly discernment as we go along in life to know what his purpose is, how to recognize it when we see it, and how to remove ourselves from that place when it is done, like Jesus did in this Scripture. We can become entangled, and potentially derailed, by our efforts to defend our position, or our intention, when we should have removed ourselves and continued on with our purpose. May the Lord help us discern this matter.
