Then comes the evening service - which again I want to earnestly ask you to attend, if at all possible. We are going to begin a short series Sunday night on a spiritual discipline that is very unusual to most of us. God calls us to this spiritual discipline at least 20 times in the Bible (likely many more than that), but it is probably very foreign to many of us. What I'm talking about is Scriptural mediation. We will begin at Psalm 1.1-3 this Sunday night to have Scriptural meditation introduced to us, and then have two or three more sermons in this series. I hope I ask kindly enough - would you please make every effort to be in church Sunday night? I am convinced that Scriptural meditation is a missing discipline which, when put into practice, will help us tremendously in growing in godliness. ---------------- Responsive Reading of Psalm 77 Scripture Reading: Psalm 1 Text: Psalm 1:1-3 Sermon: "Scriptural Meditation, #1" ------------- Theme: By given grace we meditate on God's Word and do grow
