Daniel describes his vision in chapter 8 as "appalling." We'll see how many years from Daniel, the camp of the enemy surrounds God's people, and all seems hopeless. And when we get a glimpse of this vision along with Daniel, we long to fix our eyes on One who can offer hope. Amidst the apparent hopelessness in the present, we are exhorted to turn our eyes to the Lord of hope, who is the Lord of the past, present, and future. As a way to help us see this, we'll turn to two points:
1) The rise and triumph of evil, and 2) Our response to it.
