These were His earthly peers, those He had grown up around and still they didn't like Him. Even though they had tried to kill Him before Jesus still loved them enough to come back. Jesus wasn't like those hypocrites, He walked the walk and talked the talk; of course that bothered people as well. As a result they were offended at Him. Does He offend us?
