Sometimes we know that something is true, however we do not always need to say it. If we grow up in homes where there is a sin problem, we are likely to repeat that same sin. The only way to break this sin pattern is by the grace of God. We cannot change on our own. If our parents tell us to do something wicked, we are not to do it. No one has the authority to tell us to do us something God forbids. It is not okay to try to bring God's blessing into our sinful behavior. God is at work, even in our failures. God will work out what is best despite our sinfulness. God will accomplish His purpose. God is at work in human history and He is the one who chooses the outcome. The natural pattern is to repeat the sins of our ancestors and it requires God’s power to break the cycle. God has chosen Jesus Christ to break the sin cycle and bring salvation.
