We must remember Christ in the Lord's Supper as He has commanded us.

Precursor of the Supper: The Passover Feast

Initiator of the Supper: Christ Himself (23)

Focus of the Supper: The words of institution (24-25)

Symbolism of the Supper (“acted out” sermon)

Bread: signifies Christ's body (24)

Substitutionary atonement (“for you”) (24)

Particular redemption (“for you”) (24)

Cup: signifies new covenant in Christ's blood (25)

Goal of the Supper: Remembrance of Christ (24, 25)

Command to Observe the Supper: Do this in remembrance of Me! (24)

Anticipation of the Supper: His second coming (26)
